Route Topos
Mountain Birdwatch 2.0 introduces all-new survey routes for 2011! We selected these routes using a Generalized Random Tesselation Stratified design (GRTS), which randomly selects areas from appropriate habitat while spatially balancing selections. This new route set will enable us to draw conclusions about the distribution and abundance of high-elevation species across the entire breeding range of the Bicknell's Thrush.
Please scroll down to browse individual topographic maps of each new route.
To find descriptive information about each route, including access trail name and hike duration, click here.
To see a list of which routes are currently avilable for the 2011 season, see our Available Routes page. Contact Judith Scarl to adopt a route today!

Click on a route name below to view a topographic map of the route. Each map will show a route with up to six survey stations; the route number is the first number at each point, and the station number occurs after the dash. Some maps may display more than one route; the relevant route number appears before the route name in the map title. Please note that routes should be surveyed in order, beginning with point 1.
